Should i not wear a bikini?

I'm 5'6 and to be honest i like my body; i'm a size 4-6 in american eagle pants, and sure i have some cellulite and my stomach isn't rock hard, but it's slender, i have a slender soft, (not toned aha) body, but all i hear at school is girls criticizing other girls for wearing bikinis.. im thinking of tanning and i'm good, since im pretty white aha so should i wear a bikini or refrain from it :S
