Can i restrict a particular person on Facebook?

Before you put up a status there is a little padlock, click on that and then press customise. Then put in the friend's name so they can't see the status. And with pictures, just separate all of the pictures you don't want them to see, and then on the album it should be the same near the bottom of the screen. :)
