About to marry Air Force, how do i keep my career with his?

I knew a guy who was an Army recruiter. He was married to a teacher. They were from Pittsburgh, but since recruiting can send you anywhere, he didn't stay in Pitt long. They are still married, he flies home every weekend to spend with her. They also "Skype" every night. The other option would be looking into how to get certified in another state.
