How do I make friends in a new city? Where do I go?

I just moved to southern California. I'm not in school, so please refrain from suggesting I go to school and meet friends. I honestly have no idea where to meet people my age (eighteen) and socialize with them without it being super awkward. What did you do?

I need football offensive tips for being a reciever?

ok so im gonna be playing offense for my schools 8th grade team. i played defense last year as a cornerback for my first year and during track season my coach told me that for sure im gonna be a receiver next year. i could run and catch a ball only problem is the routes. can anybody help me memorize or give me something to know what like a post route is. or anything that helps me as a reciever. i dont know much about football so any tips would be very helpful. im 5.9 and about 125 pounds if that helps.

Coxswain on Rowing Team?

I'm thinking of trying out for crew my freshmen year of college in the fall. I emailed the coach and he said that I would be perfect for coxswain (I'm 4'10 and 110 pounds) and that he'd teach me everything I needed to know, so it's okay that I have no experience. It's still summer so I am gonna try to get in shape for the fall. So, does anyone know what exercises I should do in order to be in shape for the team? Specifically for the coxswain position? You should go to your doctor and let them know. Some meds work well for some and not for others. Xanax (Alprazolam) is more social phobia/anxiety relief oriented (your agoraphobia), this could help relieve your symptoms and calm you down, it is considered one of the 'stronger' (at the same time more risky) medications. I know exactly how you feel. You've got to take it a step at a time. I've improved since being on meds, but it won't do all the work. Find something that makes you happy to turn to when you find yourself in those low moods, anything at all. You may need counselling too. Hope it gets better.
